Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited (SJIBL) is a leading progressive Shariah-based private commercial bank having its a network of 140 branches across the country with state-of-the-art technology providing fully online services to the customers and a team of highly motivated personnel committed to developing excellence in Islamic banking is looking for an experienced and competent professional conversant with Islamic Shariah and Fiqh Muamalat as "Muraqib" under Shariah Inspection and Compliance Division, Corporate Head Office, Dhaka of the Bank.
Job Purpose: The position is responsible for planning and conducting shariah inspection/auditing, reporting & advising, working with Shariah Supervisory Committee & Management, complying with Shariah issues in business operations, researching Islamic banking issues, developing Islamic banking products, maintaining liaison with different Islamic organizations related to shariah operation of the Bank, etc.

Job Responsibilities:
To conduct shariah inspection of the branches as well as the Head Office in order to ensure implementation of Bank Guidelines, Shariah Principles, and Islamic Banking Guidelines of Bangladesh Bank;
To prepare inspection report thereon and follow up on the compliances;
To ensure implementation of guidelines/recommendations given by the Shariah Supervisory Committee/ Management of the Bank;
Monitor and ensure all compliance related to the Islamic Banking Guidelines of Bangladesh Bank
To conduct a study on Shariah issues/new products and provide necessary assistance to the Shariah Supervisory Committee/Management and Head of the Division;
To guide and coach the branches in order to ensure proper implementation of shariah in banking operations;
To develop Shariah-based new banking products and redesign existing products;
Employment Status: Full-time
Educational Requirements:
Should have a Post-Graduation degree from a reputed University preferably in Islamic Studies/Arabic/Al-Fiqh and Legal studies having no third class/division or equivalent CGPA in academic career;
Experience Requirements:
At least 10 year(s)
Additional Requirements:
Professional degree in Shariah Law/Certification in Islamic Banking will be considered as an additional qualification; - Knowledge of the Islamic Banking regulatory framework of the country;
Should have 10 years of experience in the banking sector with a minimum of 5 years experience as Muraqib in any Shariah based Bank/FIs;
Very good command of Microsoft Office;
Age within 45 years as of 01.02.2023 but may be relaxed for a highly qualified candidate.
